Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Content
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Third Free Story Update
This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
