Iran is prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with Washington on condition that it is approached with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

Abbas Araghchi declared only diplomacy worked, and shared fresh requests had been made by mediators to resume negotiations with the US government. He said Iran possessed no unreported enrichment locations, and Iran was not yet able to permit the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Walking a Complex Course

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an inalienable right to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the key factor of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Earlier Discussions Suddenly Ended

The prior phases of discussions between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious termination on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that ended with Donald Trump claiming the facilities had been obliterated. Afterward, Western states exercised their right to reinstate global restrictions, but Iran insists they have not had a major impact.

Perfect Agreement Offered

Tehran representatives claimed they felt they had achieved a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since local refinement would have persisted and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Diplomats asserted on multiple occasions they had reached agreement with the US representative the American negotiator only for the agreement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Present Situation

Iran's diplomats declared the cooperative arrangement was now withdrawn, but it seems highly likely the offer could be reintroduced in some form if discussions resume.

The American leader in recent days said he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to resume discussions, but confidentially Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet obtaining coherent offers from the United States either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Iran's state department has been charged of passivity in the aftermath of the US president's straightforward manner, but Iran asserts dialogue is not part of a performance.

Negotiating Position

In his remarks to the conference, aimed to depict the US as a dominant force that abuses the concept of global regulations, the foreign minister declared the fortnight-long engagement showed the conflict could not be ended by armed force. He stated the strikes started with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an unconditional call for a truce.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were carried out with complete American awareness and coordination, making confidence difficult to rebuild.

Negotiations Remains the Final Answer

The foreign minister said: "It was not Iran that had fled dialogue; it was the United States and the western countries that had repeatedly attempted to enforce their desires during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be active and continues the final resolution to resolve disagreements, but its requirements, rules and principles must be adhered to."

"In case they talk to the nation of Iran with the approach of respect and respect, they will obtain a reply in the identical approach."

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Iran's diplomats as the battle of repair and rebuilding, the foreign minister claimed he was assured Iran's security strengths "are considerably enhanced than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been restored. We acquired many lessons from this war; we have identified our personal limitations and the shortcomings of the enemy."

He continued: "We effectively endured this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to destroy, continues to exist. The installations and gear, if eliminated, will be restored; what is crucial is the resolve of the citizens of Tehran and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but did not succeed to destroy. The nation of Iran have become stronger, more cohesive, and more backing of the administration and the nation in the face of this assault."
